   here - 2015 - minature video installation

   THERE                              HERE                               THERE
exploring the concept of 'here' - can you be here and there at the same time?

where is here? where ever you happen to be is here, a place in space and time, but can a different here be created, an objective here that you can see but is also there?

on a plinth two mobile phones are placed upright on their sides like two miniature monitor screens, 30cm apart and facing each other - the phone on the right is playing what can be seen on the right-hand side of the video above, the screen on the left plays what's seen on the left-hand side of the video

everything that is not here is by definition there - everything on the right-hand screen appears to be coming towards you, coming in from there - while everything on the left screen is moving away, going back out to there - so has the space between the two screens become a here?

is the here between the images different from your being here?
